Kirk Shenay is from the North Side of Columbus, Ohio. He spent a lot of his juvenile years in trouble and in and out of the system. “I Received my first felony as a adult at the age of 18 and was incarcerated at 20 I spent 6 years behind bars”. In prison is were he truly began to take a in depth look at himself and what he loved and also what he wanted. “My biggest dilemma was never seeing a future for my life. I know today who I am and my relationship with God is what drives my success and mindset. I am so appreciative to be apart of Think Make Live and play my role as a community engagement specialist, where I speak to the youth who are incarcerated or lost like I was. I give them resources and knowledge to become successful. I believe if we began to see ourselves as who we were created to be which is leaders than we will see the difference not only in our generations but those to come as well.”
